what a weekend! we had softball from 6pm to 11pm on friday night. the weather was great and Shawn and Wendy and Ros came over from Port Orchard. So fun to see them. Ros is growing up SO fast! She is missing her two front teeth (and one bottom one too!) SO CUTE! Mom and I had a nice chat with Wendy and Shawn played with the boys who all seemed pretty happy to see his shiney face! Now we owe them a trip (yeah I'm real sad! ha! I love taking the ferry over and hanging out with them it's SO FUN!) anyway. then Saturday Mikayla and I went easter dress shopping (nothing like waiting til the last minute!) and all the other goodies (sandals etc) and then we went and got stuff for an easter basket for Daddy. The best part of Saturday though was that afternoon. We were talking about her dresses (yep couldn't just get one...got three) and Easter and we had a LONG (in 5 year old terms a long talk is over 5 minutes) about Easter and I cleared a buncha things up for her! We talked about how Jesus was perfect, and why. Why he died, why it's important that he kept his promise, and the wonderful gift he gave us! It's so wonderful to watch her learn and ask questions! She was mixed up with Palm Sunday and Easter so it was good that we had a chat. Sunday on the phone with her grandma she was asking Grandma if she knew what easter was. funny.
Saturday night we had bowling (see post below)
Sunday we went to 8am service and she sat with us in big church and believe it or not. I forgot to take pictures of her in the dress. I'll make her pose properly next weekend. ;) we got done with first service and ran her up to her moms for the rest of the day. Keith and I then came back down and were supposed to work at 11:30 service but they had plenty of help so we went to my parents a little early. We had easter dinner at Aunt Deweys with Kristen, Frank, their three girls, my grandma, parents and Aunt Dewey. Then we came to my place and I finally watched The Passion of the Christ. I have been so reluctant to watch it (I don't do gore of ANY kind without being VERY squeemish) but it was wonderful.
anyway. there's the weekend!
