wanna be mom

I'll admit it. I'm a wanna be.

So in talking to someone this weekend I realized that I have known Miss Mikayla (my darling fiancee's daughter - wait for it, my future step daughter) for 4 years! I started babysitting her once in a while for Keith when he would have to work on a Saturday. Mind you this is WAY back when I was still married and living in Snohomish. Jim and I had so much fun with her and that was right about the time that we were having the kid discussion (when, etc) and Mikayla was an angel. She's funny, smart, a total wise acre and just an all around good kid. I started watching her a little more frequently during the seperation and divorce, it just worked out that way and for me it was awesome to have her around. I hated being by myself, I would do whatever I could to not have ANY alone time (probably because that was THINKING time, which I never wanted) she cracked me up and we had a great time. She's a great partner in crime ;) Then as her daddy and I moved from a friendship to a dating relationship, Mikayla and I had a little more time together and dang it if that kid didn't hook me big time. While this was not what I had planned when I was in my 20's and knew everything and planned out when I'd get married, when I'd be having kids, etc. I'm glad God's plan worked this way. I lucked out big time. With Mikayla and especially with her dad. We're having such a good time building new memories and planning! God has a great sense of humor doesn't he?
