I am a full service office manager! I love to take care of my co workers, little needs, big needs and especially fun needs! This last friday Johnny told us quietly at our normal friday gathering that he would be getting married this Monday at the King County Courthouse. He and his new bride have been waiting for some time and due to visa/greencard issues they've had to wait, well long story short they were all ready to go forward and not wanting to delay it!
Monday I ran up to the pike place market (up the stairs so don't give me too much credit) and over to cost plus (a whole one block further) and purchased sunflowers and some wild flowers and some maroon ribbon (the only wide fabric ribbon Cost Plus had!) and brought them back here to the office to "get crafty". I'll have to say, it was SO much fun to pu the bouquet together. I took 5 sunflowers and arranged them pretty tight together and then fed the wild flowers through them to add some contrast. I then rubber banded it all together (I'm at my office not my home where I have zip ties) and then tied the ribbon around the stems to finish it off. It came out fantastic (can I change and have a summer wedding? just kidding)
I then took a few of the wildflowers and made Johnny a boutineirre and used a scrap of the ribbon to tie it. I didn't have a pin so they improvised and used his button hole. HA!
I'll have to say, this morning when Johnny came down to thank me and show me the pictures I almost cried. Without knowing it, I matched her shirt (almost exactly)! They loved the flowers and I loved doing it for them.
man this wedding stuff is ADDICTING!

Johnny is one of my favorites here at the office. He's kind and fun and he's going to be a great hubby!
