Mikayla and I met her Mom at the evergreen state fair last Monday and man did we have fun! We met up there around 1pm, went and grabbed some lunch, which while being completely delicious, won't help me fit into a ivory gown in a few months. We saw every single animal at the fair, cows, goats, sheep, cats, rabbits, pigs, chickens, geese, even two zebras. Mikayla got to pet a rabbit (actually she got to HOLD him) and we also got to see 1 day old piglets! it was something special! The two of them totally humored me and let me look at the stuff for Grange, the quilts, the canned stuff and the honey. We ran into a couple people (hi Barb!) and then at about 5pm Keith came up and met us and we all went on rides! We started on the roller coaster, which Mikayla had been talking about since we pulled into park, we found out once and for all that while Mikayla "thinks" she likes roller coasters and will beg and plead to go on one... she hates them. She cries. She is indeed, miserable. We then put her on the carosel, nothing calms you down like sitting on a plastic horse and going up and down ever so gingerly. We went on the big ferris wheel with the tables (all four of us could have fit another 4 of us) and we went on the now infamous bumper cars. While we were in line for the bumper cars I had a "moment" with a couple houligan children and their "mom", but also while we were in line we were watching the ride next to us, it was the one where you spin all the way around in a circle and then they make you go backwards upside down on that same circle, well we had the show, we watched as a high school boy, who had obviously been eating the same delicious fair food that we had, ralphed all over himself, all over the ride and all over some of the others on the ride. it was a sight to behold. I got the dry heaves from the thought of it. Marina thought that was pretty hilarious. I am, yet again, my mom's daughter. I have the weakest stomach when it comes to puking. I am a sympathy puker. It was a great day, we ended with more fair treats and a talk all about Mikayla's first day at school the next day. She was PREPPED!
I can't wait to go back next year! these are the 2 week old piglets! SO cute! there were also 1 day old piglets!
This is the NICE lady who let us take the bunny out of the cage and hold her. Mikayla wants bunnies now. Thanks Nice lady. I don't have room for a hutch on my deck and I don't think my cats would bond with a bunny.
Marina and Mikayla. good good times.
To set this up, we don't know who Mikayla is related to, but she doesn't like the butter on the elephant ear. Marina and I both find this to be a flaw in her character. She was PICKING at the dang thing! can you imagine!
Yummy, elephant ear!
