Here's a scary number: 238 adults; 124 kids
I went through the list and realized that we are obviously kid people. All of our friends have kiddos, and we work with kiddos at church too. So it didn't shock me too much that there were a ton of kids on the list but 124! So now I worry.
What are all of those kids going to do during the reception? Is there something I can give them to do? an activity book? I need something to keep them from getting high on kid crack (sugar) We have the cocoa table for them (our nod to mikayla's peeps!)

I don't want them running wild in the church, I don't want them under their parents feet, but I want them to have fun?
Do I hire some high schoolers to do an activity time? Do I make a coloring/activity book? Have a couple tables for them to make snowflakes?
What have you seen work?

Kids karaoke corner?
Video games set up in an area dedicated to them?
Or a movie?
I'm laughing really hard right now because Tammy sent me thie link to this post sine I hadn't read it yet thinking that I might have ideas... HA! You have so many more ideas than I had. THe snowflake thing is great for kids over about 4 or 5... a winter themed movie in another corner? And teenagers to watch them? Heck yeah! Personally I am thinking of any way I can leave the kids at home!!!! Sounds like you have a better handle on this than you might think ;)
glad I couls make you laugh there Sis! ;) don't you work with kids everyday & didn't you go to school for it? Come on now;)
hey they all sound great to me! Sarah, can your folk come & babysit all the kids??;) LOL
I think a snowflakes section would be great. See if some of the high schoolers (or even middle schoolers who babysit) would be willing to man this. For really little kids who can't be trusted with scissors, what about snowfalke stickers they can put on blue paper?
I don't know what to do but I would go for putting them in a totally different room instead of a corner. That many kids is CRAZY. Have a kid ROOM that is seperate so if they want to act like kids they can do it somewhere else. That's my idea. Clearly I'm not ready to have children.
