To say that I am messy would be the understatement of the year. Then add that Keith is even messier and had just moved in the last of his boxes of clothes, well let's just say the condo was in BAD shape. I mean BAD. Like so bad I wouldn't have allowed guests.
Well, my sister and brother in law hatched a plan before the wedding to give us the ultimate gift. The night of the wedding they went in (with some elves, my cousins and my friend and florist Melissa) and CLEANSWEEPED our condo.
They folded every item of clothing we own, they organized our bathrooms, they cleaned and organized our kitchen, they tidied all the stupid cords in the living room, they cleaned up and tidied the wedding area (oh that's a dining room??) and had that place looking good enough for me to invite a pastor for dinner.
The ultimate though. My sister (I know it was you!) got a wall art for us and with assistance from my bro in law put it up above our bed. It says "Here we are together" now you ask, why does this make you cry when you see it??? It's the first line to the song "Punchlines and Ironies" by Chris Rice, the very song I walked up the aisle with my dad to marry Keith. It's my favorite song, it has very special meaning to us and I NEVER would have come up with having it up there! oh and the pillow with our monogram, she MADE it. I love it.
hey look I'm actually displaying my french connection! I've had this stuff forever, has it been up? no. I love it.
They inspired me and two nights ago I redid the mantle with our sand ceremony vase and two of our centerpieces and the BEAUTIFUL willow tree figure that our friend Brian got us. I LOVE IT!
We promise to keep it up and make it a beautiful home! now that the wedding is over I need a new project right??
