owie again

So yesterday was a total Alexander day. I woke up and my ear infection has flared back up so I decided to go in at lunch time and just as I was drifting back to night night land (after putting in more ear drops) the phone rang and it was my dentists office asking if I was going to come in for my 8am appointment. Well, I thought it had been cancelled (I had two scheduled yesterday and they cancelled one which I thought was both, anyway long story short, I went to the dentist) so off I ran to the dentist. looking just so spectacular in my quickly thrown on clothes, barely brushed hair, etc.

My appointment was to fix two fillings, one easy one and one fairly large on on the BACK of my very farthest back molar. oh yes, good good times. you see I'm no stranger to the dentist, I've had extractions to get ready for braces, I've had teeth reshaped to make the look like they fit in my mouth, etc. Turns out God blessed me with too many too large teeth for a VERY small mouth. In fact most dental work has to be done with the kid stuff. So yesterday, oh joy, the clamp on the tooth and the big rubber dental dam to let the dentist get in there. it was miserable. I made it but it took 2 1/2 hours after which I felt that that side of my face had been run over by a Mac truck. So I pulled a sick day. I laid around on my couch watching such important mind altering things like the Ellen Show. yep it was captivating. Actually I slept through alot of things, so I watched half of one and then half of another.

Keith was off yesterday (except for a 4 hour trip to the store, so not really off) so we watched movies and cleaned a little and just were couch dwellers. that part was fantastic.
