Yesterday I snuck out of work early to pick up the kiddo who is enjoying her spring break without me and ran up to my bus stop just in time for the double tall to show up for my route!
The double tall is the Community Transit's new double decker bus that I've been waiting to ride for some time now and luck have it, yesterday was the day!
I jumped on board and headed up the stairs (well duh! you have to sit up top and try it out right??) and bumped into a VERY large camera man and a reported from King 5 our local NBC affiliate who was interviewing everyone on their experience on the new bus! I didn't talk to him but I was on camera a couple times, it's supposed to air sometime this week.
The ride was a blast! being that high, having everyone in downtown staring at the bus (and you right?) and then getting on the express lanes and feeling like you're going to hit the roof. Great ride. can't wait to do it again.
We pulled into the Mariner park and ride and as I exited the bus one of my normal bus drivers was right there and he asked me how I had liked the ride, I gushed that it was just too fun and right then a guy walked up to us and introduced himself as a reporter for the Herald. He asked if I'd mind telling him about my experience and then he asked my name, age, town, etc. and off I went to pick up the cutie.
Well! Today I picked up the herald and I'm in the story on the FRONT PAGE! wow. totally fun. So click the link and you can read how I thought it was fun to be looked at by the adoring public and that I thought the ride was a "blast"
There went my 15 minutes.
