Where have you gone?

To the land of office moves my friends! Last friday I had the privelage of going to the new space to meet some contractors (plants, copier folks, etc) and take counts of some items I had to purchase, while I was there I took some new pictures of the new digs and thought I'd share!

Mind you, I took these last FRIDAY and we move this Friday, and yes I'm nervous about completion. The good news is, there's someone already doing that job (worrying) so I'm off the hook there.

This has been quite an experience! We bought the building, designed the spot and have been working with a contractor to rebuild the entire space to qualify for LEED Gold (recycling products, etc) I'm learning a ton through the process and am enjoying the interaction with my staff, both on the design portion of it as well as now the questions about the move and expectations etc.

I'm pulling an all weekend work week. I figure in the next 7 days I'll work close to 80 hours so pray for me! I'm good at getting sick after a stress like this and I have church kid camp the weekend after we move! NO TIME TO GET SICK!

Just over that wood wall is my office, almost all of the wood in the office is reused from the building. 100 year old beams and planks. cut, cleaned up and finished. it smells AMAZING over there! All of the specks you see in the photos are dust from finishing the wood floors while we were there. oh and the smarties were painting the same day so that should be fun. dust + paint is always a good idea.
