first night of women's ball!

Let's pretend for a moment that my plays at the plate were this dramatic and skillfully implemented.


Last night was our first women's game. And I had the game of my life just about. Seriously. I'm not very good so when I have a good game. You're going to hear about it.


I batted 3 times and 2 of those times I hit that ball over the outfielders heads. Seriously. We won't talk about my first at bat in which I swung with 2 balls and no strikes to hit into a double play. We'll talk about the soaring smacks I hit on my 2nd and 3rd at bat. Totally fun.


I played catcher and had 3 plays at the plate. My shortstop bulleted the ball right to me (because she's REALLY good) and I got in front of the plate and got the first two OUT! the third gal slid in and I just didn't get in front of the plate in time. Almost but almost doesn't get you an out.


We lost (10-16) but we lead for a while! and man was it a much closer game than we've had in years past. This group of ladies is SO fun, great players that I've known for a long time that never all played together but now they are all here and letting me hang in there with them.

I'm super sore today.





I'm really not this much of a heffer am I? the shirts need some work. I ordered a HUGE shirt so I could alter it, project for this week? Find someone that can make it into a v neck, take it in a little and get my name on the back of it. Anyone handy like that? Oh and you can't see the whole outfit but it's pink high socks, pink shorts and the shirt (I need a different under shirt but I thought the uniform was different so I had to use what I had in a pinch) and the pink visor. Kent called me pink all night. I'm good with that.

Here's to a great kickoff to our season, we had a great time and I can't wait for more of it!
