I made a platter for my newest cousin this Christmas and it came out SO good that I thought I'd brag a little. these are the pictures of it before it was fired. My cousin Heather took the pictures of it when it was done and I haven't gotten them yet but as soon as I do I'll update this posting.
Bisque platter
I made a printing of what I wanted (the champagne flutes and the wording (freehand text is NOT my thing) and then I took transfer paper and wrote OVER what had been printed so that the transfer paper would leave marks for me to paint over (if you haven't done this, try it! It makes things looks so much better than freehand) then I painted the majority of what you can see, then when all of that was done I took a white paint pen and made dots ALL over the base of the platter and then swirls all over the rim. Once fired the white paint pen makes texture and while it doesn't POP like color can, it adds SO much. I love it, I may have to make one for me! ;) anyway. Hope you all like it
