Some of you know that my dad and I have bonding time. It's called the Husky football season. During husky season we have daughter dad date day, which is to mean... We dork out and go to the Husky game. We usually go to 2-3 games during the season (this year I'm hoping for MORE!) together (he goes to ALL home games barring some major family responsibility). We have our system, we take the rooter bus down to the game, dad works a deal to get us in the game (usually buying and selling sets of two until he has the best seats for the least money) We make it in just in time to hear... Hello Dawg Fans, from the announcer and we eat hot dogs, enjoy the game and Dad lets me use the binoculars to watch the cheerleaders.
Well, this week, we had a treat. Dad and I took Mikayla to her first HUSKY GAME! I went out and got her her own special t shirt and face tattoo, I even tried to teach her how to make a W with your fingers to cheer properly. Saturday, we went and picked up Deano (my dad, it's what she calls him, I love it) and headed to the park and ride to get the bus. To say that she had never seen anything like what she was about to see is indeed the understatement of the year. She saw more purple on the way to the bus, then crammed on the bus, it was quite a way to start her out.
We arrived at the field and headed in, fought our way through all the purple to our seats and Mikayla went right to cheerleader watching. she loved it! We went out at half time and saw my friend Sean who is an officer with the UW police department, it was SO fun to see him. and headed back up to our seats.
UW squashed the Boise State Broncos (who were favored and are nationally ranked) we were in a great great mood!
