Beechers Cheese! Martha strikes again!

During my at home sick day yesterday I caught up on some of my recorded programming on my dvr and right smack in the middle of Martha Stewart I perked up.

She did a whole TWO segments on my favorite place here at pike place market. That is a dubious distinction as I work under the market, enjoy the market and quite frankly have tried EVERYTHING HERE! It was Beecher's Handmade Cheese!

I remember walking into Beechers for the first time, it was a lunch and I was out to try the mac and cheese I'd been hearing about since before I started working down here. What a treat, they have two kinds, regular and spicy, I mixed them and was about to create an addiction! (they also make a KILLER grilled cheese and tomato soup with flagship IN THE SOUP!, it was the meal I had for lunch on our tourist in our own town day, the early part of the day we got engaged, I remember it well!)

So imagine my suprise when my beloved Martha mentions that she was here the day after Thanksgiving (so was I, how the heck did I miss that commotion!) and that she too is addicted to Beechers WORLDS BEST mac and cheese. I knew that woman had good taste!

They did a segment showcasing the award winning flagship (which is my favorite treat, some of you like chocolate, I prefer cheese, seriously, there's a hint for you Keith) and flagship reserve, how they're made, where they're made, the happy cows they come from (my old town of Duvall) all beautiful shots of the shop and such.

The second segment was the winner. Martha intruduced Kurt who owns Beechers and Kurt bestowed upon all of us the recipe for THE WORLDS BEST MAC AND CHEESE! let me tell you as someone who has had the pleasure of eating this, trust him. it is the worlds best. Martha messed up the recipe a couple times but I'll bet that still tasted good!

What a great treat to catch while I was home! Thanks Martha for spotlighting a great local company! We've got it good here!

So next time you're here in the market, come visit me and I'll take you up for the worlds best mac and cheese. I promise, you'll love it.
