Dashing through the snow

On a TWO horse open sleigh! Yes, while we were in Leavenworth we scheduled a old fashioned sleigh ride!
We drove out to Plain, WA to Mountain Springs Lodge (the most beautiful place ever) signed our waivers (we actually had to sign a piece of paper stating that if we were trampled by a horse team we couldn't sue) and went out into the COLD crisp air to ride through the snowy fields, the snowy woods, and end up at the barn with cider and wild/domesticated turkeys, yeah, weird but TOTALLY fun! And stunning. absolutely stunning.
Here's our driver and team, wish I could remember their names. The driver was SO nice, we talked to him a ton about small town life. Man it sounds good lately. The horses are brothers and the one on the right does all the work.

Keith letting me take ONE picture, and ONE picture only, only I took way more than ONE picture.

The woods were absolutely beautiful, I was in the front and got whacked a couple times but it was still beautiful.

Here's the set up, lots of blankets and a warm big dog to lay on your feet. Perfect. We had 10 people on our ride and the driver said they run up to 16.

This is on our stop at the barn, there was a big fire pit, hot cider and these crazy turkeys, wild turkeys that have been domesticated. One of them would even come up and eat out of the drivers hand. Crazy birds.

See, I got another picture. he's not happy about it but whatever.

This is Bubba. I've never wanted a Dog until I met Bubba. Now I want a big slobbery lovey dog. Yeah right. Have you seen my tiny condo? He was a doll though, watch out he might lick ya to death!

Mikayla and the kids playing during our break, man did they have fun! the snow was SO deep that they were up to their knees alot of the time.

And back to the lodge, waaaahh!!

The lodge was beautifully decorated, I had to take some shots. Love the big huge fireplace and mantle.

Now you see why my secret wish was to be married here, could you just die! These are the chandeliers, all through the place.
