Leberkase is YUMMY!

The thing I looked MOST forward to on our trip was our stop at King Ludwigs, it's this great German restaurant with a live polka band, dancing, and the best best food EVER! I don't remember my first trip here but Keith has been dragged in at least three times.

one of the barmaids helping a table of guests!
Aren't we cute! Keith with Hat head.
The fun this time was we were there for Saturday night, live music and dancing. Totally fun. That place is loud! I almost got the family to do the chicken dance when they played it but unfortunatly I am a big dork and did it by myself. you can't NOT do it. it's just wrong.

Here's what we ordered:
Gasthaus Platter for Two
A delightful combination of German favorites: Schweine Schnitzel, Kassler Rippchen, a thick slice of Leberkäse (Bavarian Meatloaf), and sausage. Served with Winekraut, Rotkraut (Red Cabbage) and your choice of Bavarian Potato Salad OR our exceptionally tasty Red Potatoes.

AND we ordered a side of rizi bizi (rice pilaf) and Mikayla got dino nuggets and fries but she really ate sausage and left the fries for her dad.
We've discovered the Mikayla must be related to me, she can put down more bratwurst than anyone I know (she calls them white sausages) I've promised her we'll have them more often at home.
Oh, and Keith sent out a really nice picture to a bunch of people stating that I was the one that devoured this WHOLE platter of food and all he at was fries? HUH? Proof is above of him DOWNING Schwein Schniztel and other yummies.
The carnage!
