Griffey Comes home...

This may be the highlight of my early summer. Keith and I went to the Mariner game on Friday to welcome home Ken Griffey Jr. We got there just as the video tribute was starting and it was just amazing. It brought back such memories for me of watching him in the Kingdome and watching that 95 game at my friends house with a bazillion people crammed into the tv room and jumping up and down! It was fantastic. Griffey spoke for a moment and then the reds proceeded to kick our tail all over the field. The game wasn't pretty but Keith and I still had a great time. My friend Melissa's sister Monica got engaged on the big screen after the 6th inning and then on our way out of the game we ran into the Fennells, Gaydos' and Rohrenbachs. too fun! Griffey up to bat to give the ball a whack.
