I had the PLEASURE of attending an event sponsored by Method (in my world they're the OTHER green cleaning company, more on that another time) given by my favorite group of ladies, the Seattle Mom Blog group that I'm a member of. It was so fun to meet some of the great ladies that I've been getting to know and who've been giving me GREAT wedding advice and ideas! A little nerveracking to meet a room full of women you have never met! But out I went with the promise of some great free swag and a fun time.
Let me tell you, this night did not dissapoint! We were spoiled from the moment we hit the door with lots of hugs and huge smiles and handshakes from women that I've never met (but felt like I must have somehow!) great food and drinks and then when Natalie from the Liquid Muse started her cocktail demo let me tell you, I was in heaven. She wowed me with concoctions I never would have dreamed of! She got me thinking about making a signature mocktail for my guests to toast with at the wedding (ladies wasn't that almond cherry champagne cocktail to die for! and the right color!) It was just fabulous. Then the method folks spoiled us with free products and a new cute shirt (well it was cute on Mikayla, the XL they gave me has to be a kids shirt or I'm going to go into the ugly cry)
It was so fun to meet all of you ladies! I can't wait to do it again. only this time I'll actually get my camera out of my purse!
Oh I forgot! Natalie doesn't have the recipes up but when she does I'll post them (with her permission) to give you a taste of the fun we had, here's the cocktails she made us.
1. Grapefruit lavendar martini (lavendar honey, grapefruit bitters, vodka and grapefruit juice if I remember right) it was the most interesting, complex taste I've had in a long time. I loved it.
2. Cucumber Mint Mojitos (lime, cucumber, mint, agave nectar, vodka and bitter lemon soda to top it) holy cow. this one may have to make an appearance at the bachelorette party. oh yeah baby.
3. Cherry Almond Sparkling Cocktail (almond extract, sugar, marchino cherry juice (the good kind not the glow in the dark kind) and topped with champagne (or any sparkling white wine) this thing was a thing of beauty. It may make a non alcoholic appearance at the wedding as the color was SO perfect!

It was so fun to meet you, I felt like I've known you forever!
And you're right, that berry-colored cocktail (done up as a mocktail) would be beautiful for your December wedding!
So glad you could come- it was really fun to meet you! I remember that Natalie had a pregatini thing going on- basically mocktails- maybe she has a version of the champagne one you could use?
You know we're all just living vicariously through you with the wedding stuff. We plan our weddings from the time we're little girls and then we have to spend the rest of our lives planning other people's. I loved meeting you and I can't wait to all get together again soon.
I wish they had the Cherry Almond Sparkling drink as a mocktail. That was the one I was itching to try.
And I can't wait for the next event. Hopefully we will meet ... yes, I plan on being on time to the next one :) !!
