Sometimes God puts me in some FUNNY spots...

Yesterday was nutty. I had to run down to Pioneer Square to pick up a contract for our new parking garage (and check it out, distance from the office, etc.) well, God decided to have some fun with me and opened up the sky and dumped rain on me. I swear, it was like Cannon Beach rain yesterday. The kind when 20 seconds into it you can wring out your hair and clothing. Anyway...

I got down to the garage, realized it wasn't for us so decided I'd walk from our office over to the Butler Garage to check out how far it really is. It's a good 2 1/2 blocks, long blocks but better than anything else down there. Decision made. I'm picking up the contract today.

I then walked up 4 blocks to catch my bus (still raining mind you) and waited. and waited. oh and waited a little more. I waited 35 minutes for that bus (that's supposed to come every 10) It was miserable. My shoes were wet, I was cold. And yes, I'm a Seattlite who is complaining about the rain. I get it.

So I finally got on the bus at 5:40 and realized that I was going to be late for my very first BUNCO night! AUGH! I get invited to play with a great group of ladies, most of whom I've never met which I swear is a challenge I LOVE and the bus runs late. So I called Stacy and warned her and she reassured me that I wouldn't be the only one late. Well, I don't know how it all worked but the bus was lighting fast. I made it to my car in Everett by 6:15. Plenty of time to get up to Lake Stevens for Bunco!

I arrived 2 minutes early, and that was after stopping to get cash and an appetizer. Impressive.

Bunco was fun. I met lots of really nice women, one who does fused glass and soldering (my new LOVE!) she's going to be a great resource I think! I also had a chance to talk with someone who I've sorta known but after speaking with her I realized, you just never know what's going on in people's lives. I prayed for her last night and I'm praying for her today. She's going through something that I remember not fondly.

It was a great night! I'm so glad for this new connection. Monthly hen meeting. gotta love it.
