Saturday Mikayla and I went to the Imagine Childrens Museum (after CHILLING ALL MORNING!) Man I forgot what a great place this is. Here's my recommendation, if you have kids YOU MUST TAKE THEM HERE! Great for itty bitties up to older kiddos. Mikayla is 6 and she's learning a ton but there's still a few things over her head but TONS right at her level and some that she's way past. They do such a great job with making learning fun for kids of ALL ages.
I'm going to do a few posts of the fun we had at the museum.
Some things that I didn't get pictures of?
1. The light room, where you dance in front of this cool camera thing that makes you only LOTS of you up on the screen, dance your pants off.
2. the light wall, where you write with a light pen on a giant wall, Mikayla wrote her name in cursive PERFECTLY! I was so impressed. I don't think we learned cursive until 3rd grade. She's in 1st.
3. The barber shop, yes I let her "pretend" to cut my hair. We wished Daddy was there because the shaving stuff looked fun.
4. The Vet Office, cages, prescriptions, x rays, it's amazing!
5. The restaurant, I was taken to my table, given a menu, served a beverage and food and cleaned up after. Think I can put her to the test at home? ;)
6. The museum store. God bless these people. They have a GIANT rack of under a dollar treats. Mikayla got two heat/color pencils (remember the shirts that you touched and the heat of your hand changed the color? Mikayla now has pencils that do that. Way cool.
7. The big dig, you can dig for dinosaurs up on the roof, totally fun.
We had a blast. Check out the following posts!
