I'm sorry this is just sad. Is this really what beauty is now?

I had the misfortune of seeing the following clip today. It made me shudder to think that what our culture sees as beauty is so screwy. The girl in the following clip is being asked a very basic question for which she answered in a way that should have embrassed her, instead it's being seen as a funny clip and she's being celebrated for being so cute and ditsy. Really? this is what we want the young girls in this country to see and emulate?



I had the pleasure of participating in a scholorship pageant when I was a senior in high school, we had two validictorians (one of them won the title) and many young ladies who were leadership in our school and school district competing for an opportunity to represent our town and receive a pretty nice scholorship as well. I cannot fathom having a young lady such as this in our pageant, let alone being our representative to the state pageant. We would ALL have been ashamed to see it happen.

I just pray that Mikayla finds good role models in young ladies that model godly behaviors and not the Jessica Simpson barbie doll disty girls that are out there.
