THE STAMPS ARE COMING! so you may or may not have noticed that when I did my change of address cards a few months back, I found just the right stamps to go with the cards. The there's no place like home cards I did with the red shoes on them had Judy Garland stamps on them. I was so excited that they were out there and had so much fun having people figure it out and call me (some of you are as nerdy as I am) So the wedding/reception invitations were stumping me (stamp wise) it's a christmas wedding, our song is let it snow (so we're doing some snowflakes here and there and everywhere) and the custom stamps are just stupid expensive (I may break down and do them for our thank you notes) anyway... look what I found for the invitations. I already had enough 2 cent stamps so they'll be perfect!
I have a VERY good friend that does wedding flowers. trouble is, she lives in Nashville (MOVE HOME ALREADY!) anyway, the discussion started about me getting her out here and that's still a discussion but I also found out through the grapevine that one of our softball ladies does flowers. I talked to her briefly and will be calling her this week to talk a little more about the possiblity of her doing the flowers. I also have an appointment with a freelance florist in the Mill Creek area. so it's coming. I love flowers, they set the stage and it's the one part of the budget that I don't really want to cut back too much. I'm praying it works out with Mel though. cross your fingers! she's good peeps.
Here are a few things that make me giddy. This is what I have as an idea for the bridesmaids. take out the callas, add some more roses, maybe some black beauties (dark dark red roses) and a little more dark greenery along with the chartruese orchids.
I don't love this bouquet, I want some more contrast but I LOVE the snowflake and monogram pics. that will be making a definite appearance.
Keith and I did dinner last night and talked about some wedding stuff. there's so much going on right now! He's in the one of the busiest times at the shop (this and christmas) so it was nice to see him and just talk. We went to Macy's to add a couple things to the registry (some towels and plates) you should have seen him with the towels! he's so cute. I found out he's never had a robe! how in the world! Sounds like something easy for me to find for him! Macy's has all the new Martha Stewart stuff. Plates, glass wear, towels, bedding, everything. oh was I in heaven.
Tommorrow we have an appointment with our pastor to discuss order of service and start our discussion on what further curriculum we want to use (we're doing the saving your second marriage before it starts to start) we're looking for something on blended families, let me know if you know of anything good!
I talked to Reine today and she has agreed to take pictures! I'm so excited! how great is it going to be to have one of my very bestest taking pictures on one of the biggest days of our lives! We have details to work out but I'm so excited!
