I'm thankful that I got to sleep in 20 minutes longer because it's friday and the traffic is better.
I'm thankful that when I went out to my car and it wouldn't start that Keith was home to take me to the bus.
I'm thankful that I have parents who will go out of their way to come over and check out my car and probably jump it but knowing my dad, he'll make sure it's running before I get home tonight.
I'm thankful that when we pulled up the bus stop and there were cops everywhere that we could still get to our bus stop and I could get off the bus.
I'm thankful that when I turned around and saw WHY all the cops were there that I wasn't as bad off as the woman who was standing in blankets on the ledge of her apartment building.
I'm thankful that the woman next to me who was witnessing what I was, stopped, dropped to her knees and began to pray outloud for the woman who was obviously in extreme distress.
I'm thankful for Seattle's finest who at that moment were in her bedroom window, on the ground and all working to figure out what to do for her. What a job...
I'm thankful that after crying a little I turned the corner to a pretty view that God painted JUST for me at that moment.
I'm thankful for the cup of coffee and the treat I got to have this morning.
I'm thankful for the really cute lady who sits outside of LaPanier selling newspapers who looked at me, noticed I was a little distressed and smiled and told me that my day would get better.
I'm thankful that I'm at work now, but I'm praying for that lady. I hope that whatever got her to the point of opening her window and walking out on that ledge will get better, just a little every day. And that someday she'll look back at this morning and think about the change that has happened in her life.
