Aunt Dewey's house

The family all then headed back to Aunt Dewey's where an entirely different group of ladies from the church had prepared a full ham and cheesy potato dinner for ALL of us. and that's no small group. It was so fun to have all the kiddos together, Keith met up with us there as he had been up to pick up the kiddo up north.

Here's Mikayla reading to Addie, yeah she looks pretty thrilled.
Here's my cousins daughter Claire and Addie who are JUST about the same age. aren't they cute sizing each other up?

THis doesn't look like much but in fact it was my favorite part of the whole day. My sister and I are MUCH younger than the rest of the cousins (haha) and we have memories of being chased around the same house and when and if we were caught we were tickled (sometimes to the point where you would lose control of certain bodily functions) well, the tradition continues... This is my cousin Andy chasing Mikayla. When caught she was picked up by her ankles and tickled.

She loved it.

We had such a wonderful day with the WHOLE family. I hope we don't wait as long to do it again!

I love the pic of Claire and Addie sizing each other up! priceless! The sweet side of funereal family get togethers is such an avenue for healing the empty spaces left behind by those who die...
