First off thank you so much for all your kind words to me wishing me well with the death of my Grandma. Secondly I want to share with you why we have such joy about her passing!
I know the world view of death as I'm seeing it in the faces of my co-workers. They just don't get it. They mostly think I should be sad, boo hooing (which I did for about 2 minutes) and beside myself with the passing of my grandma.
My view is a very different one. It's Christ centered as I know that my Grandmother loved and served our Savior. She spent HOURS writing out hymns, poems she found and prayers to and about Jesus. She may have been cranky sometimes (92 years of toil and a body that's failing you, you try it. I've been cutting her some serious slack after the fact) but she loved Jesus.
We've been going through her writings and papers that she left for us to plan her service and my goodness! She has about 200 hymns for us to sing (she left tons of notes, they're so cute!) we'll be filling her program with verses and poems she had written down, snipped out, etc.
So for me, all of this is joy. Sure I'll miss Grandma, but my goodness. The things she's seeing right now, the things she entered into on Monday morning. She's out of her body that was holding her back from her joy and dancing on streets of gold. Amazing.

Amen, amen and amen! What a gift and legacy a godly grandmother is! I plan to be one someday and I know you do too- and I seriously agree on the slack part!
