Huskies Take it to the HOOP!

Our friends Ellen and Beanie have seats for the Huskies Women's basketball games, I've been COVETING how much fun they've been having at the games. Last week they called Keith and offered us their tickets and we jumped on it! Mikayla LOVED playing basketball this year and we thought it would be great to have her see a college level game (and I was pretty excited to see a cheer squad!)

So Saturday, Mikayla and I went to see Ellen at work and visited Grandma (what a blessing!) and then Sunday Keith had the elusive FULL DAY OFF ON A WEEKEND! We went to church, then ran to Dean and Lindas to change then to the game! We drove onto campus and parked and walked down the 4 million stairs to Hec Ed. When we got there we asked where we could buy a ticket for Mikayla and the guy at the door ushered us in without paying for her, when we got in we saw why. These games are not well attended but boy was it fun!

Well, the fun was that Mikayla has decided that she is a cheerleader. Here she shows us her moves.


The usher watched her up where we were and then took her down to a lower ledge to try to get her on the big screen, that didn't happen but Mikayla sure had fun! We also tried valiantly to get one of the free t shirts that they throw out at each three pointer but alas, we'll have to wait until next time.

The cheerleaders, they were a dissapointment. Our Jr. College squad was better than this squad, we figure it must have been the C squad or something. Still fun to see stunts, wabbly as they were. No tosses but lots of one on one stunting (basic) I did see one liberty which was pretty cool. Can't wait til football season for some REAL stunting. And yes, I'm that idiot who watches cheer competitions on espn.
