open house

Mikayla has started the 2nd grade! We attended her open house and spent some time with her teacher and blew a ton of money at the bookfair. So it was a success right? Keith and I both so enjoyed getting to see her in her weekday environment, meet some of her friends and see that she's so happy and smart and being nurtured to grow!

Mikayla's journal where she stated that she loves the winter because she gets to sled down MEDIUM hills with her Daddy while her step mom doesn't sled because all she does is take pictures (and blog them right??) she even drew a little camera. I was impressed at her handwriting and spelling, she's just so dang smart.

On that note, her new favorite thing to do with me on a lazy Saturday? watch the show about the pet cops on animal planet, get out her notebook and take notes on the show. seriously. I'll have to take some pics cause it's just so cool.
